Small clubs such as "Trail's End" out toward Woodway. Great shows. Hot, sweaty, people dancing, and the band working hard. Great Memories. I spent many an hour there with Jerry Thomas, Ken Sadler Terry Fisher and The Caballero Brothers. Saw Sherman Evans many times at the Red Carpet and the Nitelife. He was a class act as a singer and as a person. These were the only truly integreted places in Waco. Does anyone have any photos from these great clubs? I would love to have copies. He was vastly talented and would have made it on the national music scene if he'd wished to. Walkers Auditorium, The NiteLife Club and several other venues were his domain. He and his band were among those who inspired me to become a musician.
